Fresenius University of Applied Sciences has set up its own scholarship programme to support committed first-year students. For this purpose, the university provides partial scholarships from its own funds, which are awarded by a university commission. The decision on the type, duration and awarding of the partial scholarships is the responsibility of this commission.
The partial scholarships are granted for at least one semester of study and serve exclusively to finance the tuition fees.
Study prerequisites
In order to be granted a scholarship for the first semester, the following requirements must be met when applying:
- A "very good" to "good" university entrance qualification with a grade point average of at least 2.0 or better in the school section
- A BAföG notification of approval
- The maximum BAföG grant amount according to the current BAföG regulations
In order for the scholarship to continue to be granted in the following semester, you must continue to fulfil the following requirements:
- Successful completion of all previous semesters within the standard period of study and with an overall grade point average of at least 2.0 or better.
- Furthermore, scholarship holders are expected to attend all courses regularly
- Commitment outside of the courses: As a scholarship holder, you are obliged to participate free of charge in at least two (supra)regional fairs per semester as a student advisor, as well as to participate in the matriculation/graduation event as an assistant.
