Description of the programme
Therefore, this degree program aims, through a multidisciplinary academic approach, to establish a link between the distinct yet interconnected realms of international management and global governance. It integrates disciplines such as international relations, cultural and public diplomacy, and conducts an in-depth critical analysis of global governance. Students aspiring to managerial or leadership roles on the international stage will benefit from this multidisciplinary approach, gaining insights into the challenges of global cooperation and comprehending the nexus between transnational management and global governance policies.
The curriculum offers expertise in two distinct academic fields, providing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential in the global arena, preparing graduates for roles in complex and dynamic environments. Classroom sessions, seminars, events, conferences, professional training, tours, visits, and interactions with foreign officials are integral parts of the program. Students engage with leading experts from international organizations, embassies, and academic institutions, exploring various areas such as international relations, economics, business, communication, politics, human rights, culture, peacebuilding, diplomacy, conflict resolution, and development.

Accreditations & awards
The master's degree is awarded by the Furtwangen University (HFU), which is recognised as a fully accredited institution of higher education with the right to award university degrees.
The HFU is a public university in Baden-Württemberg/Germany. It is accredited by AQUIN with all its study programmes and quality ensuring processes via an institutional accreditation (Systemakkreditierung).
All our joint study programmes with the HFU are accredited/certified within the framework of this institutional accreditation according to federal law according to § 33 Landeshochschulgesetz Baden-Württemberg (LHG).
The Furtwangen University (HFU) is part of the Bologna Process set in place by the European Commission, and uses the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) to award degrees. Credits obtained through the MA programme are equivalent to those of courses at universities in all other 30+ signatory countries. Students will earn 30 credits per semester during the MA programme, for a total of 90–120 credits upon completion (depending on the track).
