Description of the programme
The BA Social Work at the University of Applied Management Studies (HdWM) is a versatile program that offers a sound education in the fields of social work and integration management. It conveys the necessary management skills social work need to future-proof. The program is designed to prepare students for a career in which they can address the multi-faceted social and intercultural challenges of today's society.
The curriculum includes a wide range of course content dealing with social and intercultural issues, integration strategies, social policy, psychosocial support, and legal frameworks. The program offers a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical skills to provide students with a solid foundation for practical work in social work and integration.
HdWM places great emphasis on practical teaching methods. Students have the opportunity to participate in internships, case studies, projects and excursions to gain insights into real working environments and deepen their application skills. They also benefit from experienced lecturers from the field and have access to a broad network of partner organizations and institutions in the social sector.

The study programme is accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities and is AHPGS-certified as a Bachelor of Arts (BA).
