Description of the programme
A dual educational program combines academic studies with hands-on work experience. While numerous full-time programs offer internships to gain practical exposure, dual programs prioritize longer periods of practical training. Students split their time between attending classes and working a specified number of hours each week at a collaborating company. This setup allows them to promptly put their newly acquired knowledge into practice and play an active role in the collaborating company. Moreover, many companies offer a training stipend or cover tuition fees, which improves students' financial security.
You need to secure a position at a digital media company offering a job in web development. Your activities must be documented in a written practical report. Legally, you remain a full-time student, making the B.Sc. Web Development | dual program suitable for non-EU citizens. Negotiate employment terms directly with the company; your salary is independent of tuition fees, which are paid to SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences.
Typically, students begin the B.Sc. Web Development course full-time and later transition to the dual study model, often in the 3rd or 4th semester. Note that finding partner companies is usually your responsibility. We offer support as needed, such as recommendation letters from professors, contingent upon active participation and academic performance in the initial semesters.
