Curriculum
Description of the programme
To apply computer science in business and research, you need sound and up-to-date knowledge that goes beyond your first academic degree. In our Master's programme in Applied Computer Science, we provide you with this knowledge and the corresponding skills that you need for your professional career - at a high level and with a practical orientation. If you want to pursue a doctorate in computer science, this degree is a prerequisite for it.
Why enrolling in this programme?
In our degree programme, you study according to our proven CORE principle! Because we believe that sustainable learning is only possible if there is enough freedom for experimentation, play and critical questions. That's why we have completely redesigned the classic course of study. In doing so, we combine the acquisition of competencies with the joy of learning.
This is what our CORE principle (Competence Oriented Research and Education) stands for:
- 5-week blocks - Classical lectures are few and far between. Instead, students spend five weeks intensively dealing with a practical issue.
- Variety of teaching and examination methods - Learning and teaching forms as well as examination methods such as project work, case studies, learning diaries, etc. are consistently oriented towards the learning objective.
- Personal responsibility of students - Only those who act and learn on their own responsibility can rise above themselves, acquire knowledge and skills and take responsibility - for themselves and for others.
- Educational partnership - As mentors and coaches, the lecturers provide intensive support to the students
