This field of study focuses on planning, managing, coordinating, implementing, and controlling the transport and storage of goods and information. Logistics ensures that the right goods arrive at the right place at the right time and in the desired quality. This requires, amongst others, a good infrastructure and know-how. Logistics regulates the entire process from the procurement of raw materials to the sale to the end customer, which is also known as the value chain (or supply chain). In order to transport the goods, various means of transport are required, such as sea or air transport, which can be chosen as the focus of a degree course.
