There are several English-speaking universities in Germany offering Master's degrees. Numerically, about 180 universities in Germany have English-taught programmes especially at Master's and PhD level.
As an applicant, you can choose a programme in Applied Sciences, as well as other academic disciplines such as Public Relations, Business Administration, International Relations, Engineering, Computer Science both in public or private universities.
The difference between public and private universities
Public universities are usually tuition-free, but public universities generally offer only a few programmes taught in English language. Some are partially taught in German and English, which means that you need to prove both, English as well as German language skills.
Private universities in Germany are well known for offering many Bachelor's and Master's programmes taught in English. In contrast to public universities, students have to pay tuition fees when studying at private universities.
