CBS International Business School (CBS) was founded in 1993 as the academic branch of an educational group that has existed in Cologne since 1908. Today, it offers its approximately 1,900 students from 75 nations business administration study programs according to international standards, which are regularly accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) and the German Council of Science and Humanities. In 2016, it became the only university in Germany to acquire international accreditation from the IACBE and became part of the Stuttgart-based Klett Group, a leading education company in Europe and represented internationally in 18 countries.

CBS Mission: ‘Creating tomorrow’
With the claim ‘Creating tomorrow’, it acknowledges its responsibility to develop students into competent and forward-looking decision-makers. With around 150 employees, it is one of the top addresses among private business schools in Germany and was once again awarded the title ‘Germany's best private business school’ in the 2019 university ranking of the magazine ‘WirtschaftsWoche’. It also maintains a large network with more than 120 partner universities and numerous companies around the world.
CBS study programmes: International – practical – personal
Its vocational and training-accompanying, dual, and full-time study programmes are characterised by teaching contents with international, practical and sustainable relevance: With the help of business projects, guest lectures and a mostly obligatory semester abroad, CBS students gather important competencies for their career entry in internationally active companies. The principle of responsible management is one of the principles of the university and is taught by the scientists of the Center for Advanced Sustainable Management (CASM) at the CBS International Business School in all study programmes.
