Nanosciences
This field of study deals with technologies that are used to analyse and process nanomaterials. These materials are between 1 and 100 nanometres in size – a human hair is thus several 10,000 nanometres thick. The properties of these materials, which consist of atoms and molecules, are used in nanotechnology to create new, improved products that are, for example, more break-resistant or harder.
