Flexible examination options at examination centres throughout Germany offer you the chance to study at your own pace without having to give up your job and salary.
The Master's degree in Business Education opens up many career opportunities: You can work as a vocational school teacher or as a teacher at business grammar schools, but the path to free enterprise, e.g. in personnel development or adult education, is also open to you.
Lateral entry into the teaching profession for vocational schools
With the specialisation "Vocational Education and Pedagogy of Vocational Schools", you will prepare yourself for tasks in the field of vocational education. If you would like to become a vocational school teacher, you will first complete the preparatory service, the Referendariat. In Baden-Württemberg, this lasts approx. 18 months and is paid according to the requirements of the respective federal state. Graduates of the Master's programme in Business Education at the Allensbach University of Applied Sciences are admitted to the preparatory service in Baden-Württemberg if they have a first degree in business administration and can prove that they have earned a minimum number of ECTS credits in the subjects of business administration (BWL) and economics (VWL) after completing the Master's programme. These two subjects represent the first subject and the second subject respectively. In the subject Economics, Allensbach University offers additional modules if the required number of ECTS is not achieved, e.g. because few ECTS were acquired in the first degree programme. As a rule, the specialisation "Economics" must be taken in the Master's programme in order to obtain a sufficient number of ECTS in the subject of economics. In addition, one year of professional experience is required for admission to the traineeship and a certain grade point average must be achieved in the Master's programme. Information on lateral entry into the preparatory service in Baden-Württemberg can be found here.
Since the preparatory service begins on the first school day after the Christmas holidays, you should plan your Master's studies accordingly in order to receive your certificate and diploma in time. The student advisory service will be happy to assist you in this regard.
If you have any questions about the admission regulations or about access to the traineeship (Vorbereitungsdienst) following your distance learning programme in Business and Human Resource Education at Allensbach University, please contact us directly - access to the Vorbereitungsdienst varies from federal state to federal state.
