Biomedicine, Neurosciences
This field of study combines Biology and Medicine and deals with molecular and cell biological research. The Neurosciences study the functioning of the brain and, in doing so, investigate the structure and functioning of nervous systems.
Biomedicine, on the other hand, aims to investigate the causes and effects of diseases using scientific and technical methods. Thus, unlike Doctors, Biomedical Scientists work in laboratories and not in hospitals or in a surgery. For this reason, Biomedicine does not require a State Examination; a Bachelor's or Master's degree is sufficient to take up a profession in this field of study.
