Philology and Cultural Sciences

Philology and Cultural Studies deal with cultural works and achievements of human beings, such as iterature, religion, language, and philosophy. The aim is to analyse, understand, and interpret these works in subjects such as German Studies, History, or Communication and to translate one language into another in subjects such as Interpreting. Courses in this field of study are usually offered as a two-subject Bachelor's degree, which means that two (partial) programmes must be chosen in combination (e.g. Spanish Language and Culture as the first and Philosophy or French Language and Culture as the second study programme). You will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts or a Master of Arts.
