Teaching Study Programmes

Teaching Study Programmes train students to act as teachers and impart knowledge to pupils. There are many different options, as they differ in the federal states, school types, and subject combinations. For example, students can complete their Bachelor's and Master's of Education in all federal states at different universities and, depending on the subject, also at academies of arts or sports colleges. Baden-Württemberg also has dedicated universities of education that train teachers. If you decide to study to become a teacher, you have to choose whether you want to become a primary school teacher, lower secondary school teacher, secondary modern school teacher, comprehensive school teacher, grammar school teacher, vocational school teacher, or teacher for special needs education. In addition, you will of course have to choose the subjects in which you would like to teach later. You can read more about how to become a teacher here.
