The Dual Bachelor Sportbusiness Management prepares students for a successful entry into the sports industry. After completing this Bachelor's distance learning programme, graduates have developed an integrated understanding of the multi-faceted sports business and recognise economic connections. In addition, they have acquired professional, methodical, social and communicative competences and are able to use them successfully on a national and international level.

Description of the programme
This distance learning programme has a modular structure. In addition to basic business, management and legal knowledge, Bachelor's students can focus their studies in industry-specific modules. In addition, the curriculum includes elective modules that allow them to specialise in certain topics, such as "Sports Facility Management", "International Sport Business", "Football Management", "Sports Event Management" or "Media Competence & New Media Management".
Accreditations & awards
The IST Hochschule für Management is officially accredited as a state-recognised university by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. This guarantees the equivalence of the degrees with degrees from state universities.
The Bachelor's, Master's, and MBA programmes are accredited by the International Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (FIBAA). This means that you achieve an international and state-recognised degree. With the award of credit points according to the European Credit and Accumulation Transfer System (ECTS), your academic achievements are internationally comparable and recognised.
The IST University of Management has been institutionally accredited for five years after a thorough review by the German Science Council. We have thus received further state recognition, which underpins our claim to quality.
For the dual Bachelor Sportbusiness Management, it is a prerequisite that an in-company training relationship has previously been entered into with a sports-specific company. In addition, the general (technical) university entrance qualification or an equivalent school leaving certificate must be presented. The Bachelor's programme can also be taken without an Abitur, but requires at least 2 years of vocational training plus 3 years of professional experience or a master craftsman's certificate or advanced training.
