Description of the programme
Many of the study contents can be transferred to your professional practice. In each semester, you do laboratory practicals that relate to the theoretical modules. This allows you to deepen what you have learned. Your lecturers are experienced practitioners who refer to current issues or case studies in their lectures. In addition, you will prepare academically supervised practical reports in three semesters. They link theoretical knowledge with business issues. In the interdisciplinary business plan competition in the sixth semester, you can combine study and practice in a particularly application-oriented way.
Biological and technical issues are the focus of the natural science subjects of the study programme. Through modules such as biochemistry, cell biology or genetics, you develop an understanding of how higher organisms function. Related subjects such as chemistry, process engineering or physics round off your knowledge. In the fifth and sixth semesters, you will focus on specific subjects. You choose two modules from the catalogue of toxicology, immunobiology, neurobiology and drug discovery strategies.
