Finance and Accounting, Controlling, Taxes
This field of study concentrates on key business figures, which are the basis for planning and successfully controlling processes in companies. Finance, Accounting, Controlling, and Tax Departments work closely together. Finance weighs up the risk of investments and financing and ensures that a company remains efficient and "liquid", which means that the company has sufficient financial resources to meet its payment obligations (e.g. office rent and salary). Accounting records and documents all business transactions, such as annual financial statements, purchases, and sales and thus forms the basis for Controlling. Financial Accounting and Controlling use the key figures from Accounting to create reports and forecasts with which a company can, for example, plan the purchase of goods. The Tax Department then determines how high the taxes are that arise from these activities.
