Description of the programme
The bachelor's programme Social Work (B.A.) qualifies you to become a competent specialist in social work or social management within eight semesters. The programme is part-time, state-recognised and can be studied either hybrid or completely online.
During your studies, you will deal with a variety of aspects of social work in exciting specialisations, such as dealing with children and young people, psychosocial counselling and health, digitalisation in social work or social work in the life span of old age. The course content is taught with a high level of practical relevance, so that you are able to successfully use your theoretical knowledge in practical applications.
After completing the study programme, it is possible for you to become active in various areas of social work. Examples are child and youth welfare, family counselling, care for the elderly or addiction prevention. You will also be able to effectively plan, implement and manage your own social projects.
