Description of the programme
Contents: You will learn about the special features of sports markets and correctly assess the social significance of sport. In addition, you will deal with the importance of media in sport and implement media concepts in the field of sport yourself. The topics of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology are also part of your study plan—equipped with this knowledge, you will be able to assess training concepts and methods in all areas of sport.
Practical experience: Designing sports events, developing market entry strategies, managing influencer marketing: Practical experience is a key competence for your successful career start. Practical projects and the integrated practical semester in the case of the seven-semester study variant enable you to apply your theoretical knowledge in practice.

– The focus on sports marketing deals with brand management, sponsorship contracts and the marketing of sports events, among other things.
– You will acquire skills in sports communication and the use of digital technologies of the future in the specialisation Sports Media and Digitalisation.
Career prospects: The degree qualifies you for management tasks in various areas of the sports sector. You will work in the marketing departments and market research of sports organisations, with organisers of sporting events and in the advertising and communication departments of sports companies. You get involved in the financial and human resources management of sports organisations and can derive entrepreneurial recommendations for action on a scientifically sound basis within the scope of advisory activities.
