Curriculum
Description of the programme
During your studies, you will acquire sound knowledge in economics. The social, methodological and leadership skills you learn are essential for management positions. Characteristic of this degree programme is the high proportion of industry-specific study content, which is taught from the first semester. This includes topics such as "Tourism Marketing", "Trends and Innovations in Tourism", "Hospitality Management", "Customer Integration and Communication" and "Customer Care Management". This Bachelor's degree programme has a modular structure.
Accreditations & awards
The IST Hochschule für Management is officially accredited as a state-recognised university by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. This guarantees the equivalence of the degrees with degrees from state universities.

For the Bachelor Tourism Management (B.A.), professional experience of at least 3 months in the tourism industry is required. In addition, the general (technical) university entrance qualification or an equivalent school leaving certificate must have been obtained. The Bachelor's programme can also be taken without a high school diploma: For this, at least 2 years of vocational training plus 3 years of professional experience or a master craftsman's certificate or advanced training must be proven.
