Description of the programme
In the Studium Individuale, you benefit from the guidance of your faculty advisor and the support of your peers to craft a personalized educational pathway. This is achieved by integrating methods and insights from various academic disciplines. Through continuous reflection—both independently and collaboratively—you will develop a customized program that deepens your understanding of your specific area of focus. Your studies should be centered around a complex theme or question that necessitates a multidisciplinary approach. Examples of recent themes explored by students include security and international networks, migration, gender and urban development, and the intersections of digitization and education.
Alongside your self-designed course of study, you will participate in a core curriculum designed to enhance analytical thinking, effective communication, and refined judgement. The core courses address pivotal contemporary issues, exploring the impact of democracy, capitalism, and modern science on the world, the balance between individualism and community needs, and the nature of valid knowledge.
