Description of the programme
In the Global Environmental and Sustainability Studies major, you will delve into the current sustainability challenges from a multidisciplinary perspective to gain a comprehensive understanding of the issues. You will acquire basic knowledge in both the natural and social sciences, covering subjects like mathematics, statistics, ecology, environmental chemistry, and methods of sustainability communication, as well as sustainability management and governance. You also have the opportunity to shape your individual academic profile by choosing from a wide range of electives across both the social and natural sciences.
Additionally, you will participate in either an interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary sustainability research project, collaborating with field partners to develop practical solutions to real-world social challenges related to sustainable development. This program is truly international, allowing you to study alongside students from various countries and learn from professors with diverse cultural backgrounds.
