Description of the programme
In our Bachelor course in Supply Chain Management you will learn to analyse business and IT processes and to plan, control and manage new ones. During your studies, you will acquire important personal skills as well as the subject-specific expertise required for a process-oriented approach to global value creation chains. You focus on management, logistics processes as well as logistics information systems in and for logistics-relevant areas of industrial, trade and logistics service companies. The Bachelor in Supply Chain Management allows you to gain an understanding of logistics from holistic, specialist, and management perspectives, with an emphasis on application-oriented competencies. Our aim is to provide you with a practice-oriented, scientifically based education that will qualify you for specialist or management positions in the area of logistics. Potential career opportunities include employment with national and international manufacturing or retail enterprises as well as with logistics-related service providers.

Flexibility at its best - Our bridge semester
We have introduced the so-called bridging semester in order to offer a maximum of flexibility for exactly your personal development.
How does this work and what are the requirements? Quite simply.
You have reached 150 CP in your Bachelor's degree program? Perfect. We now offer you two options:
You continue your studies and graduate as soon as possible
You take a semester break and use this time to find a job, do internships, get a taste of companies, learn languages, acquire cultural competencies or whatever enhances your skills. You do not have to pay any monthly fees for this semester. Of course, your studies will continue for one more semester.
You can use this bridging semester as a bridging semester at the earliest after reaching 150 CPs and at the earliest after finishing the 5th semester in terms of personal and professional development and remain enrolled. A fee is charged for this semester, but the last semester is then free of charge. The bridging semester is limited to one semester. You can indicate yourself if you have reached the required CP before the bridging semester.
Accreditations & awards
The SRH University of Applied Sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia has been system-accredited since 01 September 2021 and bears the quality seal of the Accreditation Council. This certifies that the university has the highest standards in studying and teaching - students have the guarantee that planning, teaching and assessment are carried out according to certified processes. As a system-accredited university, the SRH University of Applied Sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia is entitled to accredit its study programmes independently and with the audited quality management processes. This procedure replaces the previously common programme accreditation.
Institutionally accredited
In 2013, the university received the seal of approval from Germany's highest scientific body, the Science Council. With the accreditation, the Council ensures the quality of research and teaching and checks whether they meet recognised standards. Among other things, the Science Council praises the high level of identification of the teaching staff with the university and the pronounced commitment to teaching and student support. The SRH University in NRW was institutionally reaccredited in 2018. In its vote, the Science Council emphasises the positive development of the university. It also confirms that the university is valued as a cooperation partner in the region by companies and institutions in the social sector.
Award for the teaching and learning model CORE
In 2018, the Stifterverband recognised the CORE teaching and learning model with the Genius Loci Award, the only institutional award for excellent teaching in Germany. With the CORE principle (Competence Oriented Research and Education), SRH created a unique teaching and learning model in 2012 based on scientific findings from learning and brain research.

Scholarships
The ALLSTAY Scholarship
The SRH University of Applied Sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia awards several Germany scholarships for EU students and one ALLSTAY-scholarship for non-EU students each winter semester. The grant amounts to 300.00 euros per month until the end of the standard period of study*. Half of the grant is paid by the Federal Government and the other half by a private donor.
* The sponsor must pay the grant for at least one year. After that, he or she can withdraw from the grant if the scholarship holder's performance is not adequate.
Application requirements - Applications are open to:
SRH students who are in their 1st or 2nd semester in the respective winter semester.
The scholarship programme law specifies the further criteria for support:
For first-year students: average grade of the A-levels. In addition, individual grades or qualifications relevant to the chosen field of study.
For students who are already enrolled: academic achievements to date, in particular ECTS points. For students in the Master's programme, the final grade of the previous degree programme also counts.
Special potential of the applicant, for example through special achievements such as awards and prizes, a previous professional activity, internships, extracurricular, social, university-political or political commitment or participation in religious societies, associations or clubs.
Special personal or family circumstances such as chronic illnesses and disabilities, raising children, especially as a single parent, caring for close relatives, working in family businesses, gainful employment during studies or migration background.
