Description of the programme

The bachelor's program in Business Psychology at the University of Applied Management Studies (HdWM) offers a multi-faceted education that combines psychology with business aspects. This program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in psychology and a sound understanding of business contexts. The program places a strong focus on the application of psychological principles in business contexts and prepares students to work in various business areas.

One of the outstanding features of the BSc in Business Psychology at HdWM is its practical relevance. Students have the opportunity to put their acquired knowledge directly into practice by working with renowned HdWM partner companies. The curriculum offers a wide range of teaching content covering topics such as occupational psychology, consumer behavior, human resource management, business crime, organizational development and marketing psychology.

In addition, the program enables students to specialize in various areas of psychology and business. The HdWM attaches great importance to individual support and small group sizes in order to guarantee a high-quality education. After completing the program, graduates have numerous prospects for a professional career in the diverse fields of business psychology.

HdWM offers numerous advantages for studying Business Psychology:

The high-quality study program Business Psychology at the HdWM has no NC (Numerus Clausus).

It is strongly practice-orientated and provides access to a network of around 50 HdWM partner companies.

After completing the program, students have a wide range of development opportunities in the field of business psychology. Students can choose between different specializations such as market and advertising psychology or work and organizational psychology.

The study program is FIBAA-certified and carries the title Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), which is awarded by a university accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities.

There is also the option to integrate voluntary practical experience during the semester and in the semester holidays in order to gain practical experience and apply what you have learnt.

Its degree programs are all accredited by the Accreditation Council, FIBAA, or AHPGS, respectively certified by evalag.

Curriculum

Semester abroad & internship

All programmes at the HdWM are designed to give you the best possible preparation for entering the world of work. The Business Psychology degree programme is characterised by its practical orientation, which includes practical elements firmly anchored in the curriculum. In addition to a work placement semester, students work on a practical project (case study) together with their fellow students.

The teaching emphasises practical applicability and is enriched by real-life case studies, group work and role plays. Our lecturers have extensive practical experience in business and research, which means that the course content is specifically tailored to the requirements of the future labour market.

The timetables have been designed in such a way that students have time during the semester and during the semester holidays for voluntary work-study activities in order to gain practical experience.

You can spend a voluntary exchange semester at one of our partner universities. The International Office supports you in choosing the right university for you and informs you about the possible sponsorships in the Erasmus + program.
