Accreditations & awards
A degree is only valuable if it is generally recognised. We ensure this threefold. Firstly, through state accreditation: CBS International Business School is a private university state-recognised by the German Science Council and the Ministry of Science of North Rhine-Westphalia. Secondly, through the regular accreditation of all courses by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) for content, topicality and studyability. FIBAA examines the courses on behalf of the Accreditation Council of the Federal Republic. Thirdly, through—successful—participation in rankings, such as the renowned CHE ranking (known from the ZEIT Studienführer) or the university ranking of the Wirtschaftswoche.
Semester abroad & internship
The master's programme is completed by an internship of at least 8 weeks during the lecture-free period, which master's students can complete in a national or international company. If you wish, you can write your master's thesis as a project in a company of your choice in the fourth semester. Alternatively, during the last semester you can also complete a semester abroad at one of over 120 partner universities worldwide and write your master's thesis there.
