University profile
The Center for Cultural Diplomacy Studies collaborates with Furtwangen University to deliver educational and scholarly programmes. These programmes allow students to delve into and practically engage with cultural diplomacy, both theoretically and empirically. Particularly, the CCDS delves into the interplay between hard and soft power, the mechanisms of global governance, the dynamics of globalisation in a world of mutual dependence, the facets of international economics and business, the principles of multi-culturalism, the importance of intercultural dialogue and exchange, the fundamentals of human rights, and the role of religion. Our research primarily investigates how culture-driven initiatives can promote understanding among different groups, thereby enhancing global peace and stability.
These programmes are designed to instil high leadership qualities and equip students with the necessary skills to navigate their future leadership positions effectively, tackling the pressing issues that the world faces. They offer in-depth knowledge and analytical frameworks for studying and applying cultural diplomacy, highlighting its significance in influencing international policies and shaping global strategies.
