The Charlotte Fresenius Hochschule is part of the educational family of the Hochschule Fresenius. In 1848, Carl Remigius Fresenius founded the Fresenius Chemical Laboratory, where the training of young professionals has played an important role from the very beginning. The Charlotte Fresenius Hochschule, which was founded in 2021 as an academic and university-like institution, is part of this educational tradition.

Accreditations & awards
The Charlotte Fresenius Hochschule has gone through the procedure of the Science Council and is state-recognised. The Psychology programme (B.Sc.) is also state-recognised and accredited.

Although the Charlotte Fresenius Hochschule itself does not award any university scholarships, there are numerous scholarship programmes that are available to students throughout Germany.
