Accreditations & awards
All distance learning programs at Wismar University are part of the internal quality management system for teaching and study. The university is subject to system accreditation, which serves as a means of quality assurance. This ensures that the university has a quality management system in place, guaranteeing that the content, procedural processes, study feasibility, professional qualification, and study conditions of all online and distance learning programs adhere to the stipulated requirements of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK), the Accreditation Council, the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, and the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ESG). System accreditation secures the high quality of the study programs and meets the conditions for national and international recognition of degrees. An additional advantage is that, as the university as a whole system has been reviewed, all future online and distance learning programs are automatically accredited. The accreditation provides students and their employers with reliability regarding the quality of our study programs.
