In a close combination of theory and practice, we teach you industry-specific knowledge and business know-how.
Explore your career goal: Which areas of the music industry are you particularly interested in? What skills would you like to network? From the fourth semester onwards, you can adapt the Bachelor's study programme Music Management (B.A.) to your career goals by choosing specialisations. You can choose from the programme-specific specialisations Music Production and Artist Management as well as Music Distribution. In the sixth compulsory elective module, you can specialise even further with a compulsory elective module. You can choose from the following modules:

Career in the music industry: With a successful Bachelor's degree in Music Management (B.A.), you will have acquired a special mix of skills that will qualify you for exciting positions in brand and artist management, music marketing and exploitation, and event organisation. As a music manager you work, for example
- as a junior executive in production and collecting societies, in agencies, event and trade fair companies as well as advertising and communication departments
- in the editorial department of the music industry
- as a product or campaign manager at major and independent labels and distribution companies
- in media companies and their service providers in the areas of social media, customer relationship management, talent training, trend and chart analysis and moving image production
- self-employed or freelance in the music industry.
Semester abroad & internship
Practical study: The content of the Bachelor's study programme Music Management (B.A.) is closely oriented to the current challenges and issues of the music industry. In the first semester, you acquire important practical skills in project management and presentation techniques. In the fifth semester, you will take part in a business game and a practical project. If you decide to study in seven semesters, an entire practical semester is integrated into your studies.
Accreditations & awards
