Curriculum
Description of the programme
The Master's programme in Business Foundation & Entrepreneurship (M.A.) combines all the necessary foundation, management and leadership skills for setting up your own business or supporting start-ups. You will develop an application-oriented self-understanding of entrepreneurship and can professionally exchange ideas about start-ups and entrepreneurship. We teach you to critically reflect on your own start-up and to push it forward independently, or to precisely analyse the start-up intentions of others. You will learn what constitutes a lively start-up culture and how to involve the stakeholders of start-ups in a goal- and solution-oriented way. You will also learn how to establish and expand relevant business relationships and how to deal with conflicts in start-up teams.
With a successful Master's degree in Business Creation & Entrepreneurships (M.A.), you will have acquired all the relevant knowledge and skills to start your own company, support the development of start-ups or join companies that are responsible for the development and expansion of non-core business opportunities through corporate venturing (CV). Your potential employers also include political institutions and business associations that promote start-up culture and entrepreneurship.
Why enrolling in this programme?
The contents of the Master's programme in Business Start-up & Entrepreneurship (M.A.) are oriented towards the start-up life cycle. This means that you successively build up competences relevant to founding a company, which will support you in your own start-up. The degree programme starts with the basics: you deal with your entrepreneurial mindset, learn about business models and develop a business plan. Legal basics, corporate financing and entrepreneurial tasks are on the agenda in the second semester. In the third semester, you acquire leadership skills as well as knowledge in the areas of marketing, sales and relationship management.
In addition to the theory, you will train your practical skills from the first semester onwards. Our lecturers teach you important tools and instructive case studies. We bring you together with founders and entrepreneurs during excursions and learning trips. In our start-up boot camp, coaches show you how to pitch successfully and perfect your business idea. In integrated practical projects, you apply your theoretical knowledge in practice.
