Description of the programme
Due to its extra-occupational orientation, the study programme enables you to immediately put your theoretically acquired skills into practice.
Work scientifically, broaden your horizons: Whether occupational therapy, speech therapy or podiatry—while up to now you have concentrated entirely on one health profession, with the bachelor's programme in Applied Health and Therapy Sciences (B.Sc.) you will open your eyes to the broad spectrum of health and therapy sciences. You will deal intensively with the different therapeutic disciplines of the health care system on both a practical and scientific level. You will gain a well-founded interdisciplinary perspective, learn to apply scientific methods and thus expand your competences in your profession.
Study in four semesters: The special thing about the bachelor's programme Applied Health and Therapy Sciences (B.Sc.): We credit you with competences acquired in your education and profession within the framework of an equivalence examination. This allows you to reduce your studies to four semesters and move directly into the fifth of eight semesters.

Interdisciplinary contents: The bachelor's programme focuses on the methods and mechanisms of action of selected therapies and intervention measures in the health sector. The study programme combines theoretical models of health and therapy sciences and practical methods that you can apply directly in your profession. You learn to analyse and evaluate therapeutic measures and deal with research methods such as clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice. The following topics are on your curriculum:

Seamless learning: The part-time orientation of the programme enables you to apply theory directly in practice. The small number of attendance units in the part-time programme are combined in attendance weeks or on attendance weekends (Friday and Saturday), so that work and study can be easily combined. Accreditations & awards
All study programmes at the Hochschule Fresenius are accredited before they start for the first time and then regularly checked for conformity with the regulations.
