Demographic change and increased preventive awareness are causing the health market to grow and providing secure jobs. The state-recognised SRH Hochschule für Gesundheit was founded in Gera in 2006. In its first year, the university had around 80 students spread across a total of four study programmes. Since then, the university has been writing a success story, with over 1,500 students now studying in 18 accredited bachelor's and master's programmes, at a total of 13 study locations nationwide, thus making an active contribution to a healthy society.
All study programmes were co-developed by bright minds and strong partners from the health industry and are supported by strong practice partners.
The university stands for individual coaching, practical lectures and competence-oriented teaching and learning. The SRH Hochschule für Gesundheit is often regarded as a nationwide pioneer, as in the case of the Neurorehabilitation programme or the training-integrated study model of the bachelor's programmes in Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy.
In addition, the SRH Hochschule für Gesundheit teaches and researches for a healthy society. This is its drive, its passion and its incentive, because health needs bright minds! For a lifetime.

The SRH Hochschule für Gesundheit is state-recognised and institutionally accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities. All study programmes have been audited by the relevant accreditation agencies or are in the process of being accredited and thus meet the nationally applicable standards. This means that not only the university itself, but also its study programmes are subject to constant quality control by neutral experts in order to guarantee students the best possible study quality.
